Location: Deborah Rawson Memorial Library meeting room
Attendees: Jeffrey Earl, Fred Lavenberg, Drew Bulfer, Brian Stevens, Kevin Trout, Charlie Windisch
Meeting was called to order at 7:05pm
- Minutes of the April meeting were approved.
- Bill payment status: Marilyn (via email) reported 4 households are currently delinquent in paying the second quarter bill (was due 1 April). Late notices sent out. Several more households owe an additional $15 for the second quarter payment as there has been an increase of $15.
- Boil water/manganese notices – In an attempt to provide more timely updates to the neighborhood regarding important notices, the committee will explore using Vermont Alerts (VT Alerts). If enacted, households will have to sign up in order to receive a text message/email notification. This would enable the neighborhood to be informed as soon as the Prudential Committee knows of an issue. Drew Bulfer to explore more on what is involved. (Note – This is free – no cost. This does not replace the official notices that the State requires be sent out – it will run in parallel).
- Reservoir cleaning – SOS power cleaned the reservoir tanks on May 6 to remove the build up of manganese.
- Clearwater Systems replaced all six of the pressure tanks in the reservoir house. The major leak on Lindenwood in February caused damage to these pressure tanks. Fortunately, insurance will cover the cost of this replacement (roughly $16K). Good news for our budget, as repairs are already at budgeted levels.
- Valve replacement – Charlie to ask Chris Wells for an estimate to see how many valves can be replaced this year.
- Exposed wiring at pump house – Kevin to contact a local contractor to have the exposed wiring at the rear of the building enclosed.
Meeting adjourned at 7:55pm.
